Research has shown that what separates successful people from their less successful counterparts is not necessarily IQ but rather EQ! When analyzed, the key skills and qualities needed to be successful came from within emotional rather than from cognitive intelligences.
For many years, emphasis has normally been put on logical aspects of intelligence such as reasoning, spatial skills, math skills, understanding analogies etc. And although IQ could, to a certain degree predict academic performance and personal success, there seemed to be something missing. Promptness and punctuality, as habits can and does remove the monotony and drudgery out of any occupation. Putting things off usually implies never doing them at all. Too many people have the bad habit of making an effort when it becomes an imperative - and often times it is too late.
