Creative Problem Solving

How many times have you found yourself saying that there is “no solution” to the problem before you - it’s a dead end and leads nowhere? You feel that there is no light at the end of the tunnel and that the problem just cannot be solved? There are no solutions that you are aware of.

Are there times that you feel you have exhausted all possible options and feel the mountain before you is still as large, unconquerable and impregnable as before? When you find yourself faced with such problems, it may feel as though you are hammering against a steel mountain. The stress and anxiety of having to solve such a problem can be overwhelming.

The “Focusing Hour”

What you think about most of the time is what you become.

What you think about at the beginning of the day is the most important part of you day!

Here is my personal “Kick Start” for the day.

Exercise it doesn’t have to be high impact and lengthy. Fifteen to twenty minutes of walking on a treadmill, cycling, callanetics or even some sit-ups and push-ups to get the heart rate up and the blood flowing. Exercise doesn’t have to be long and hard to benefit the body; recent studies show that fifteen to twenty minute low impact workouts are just as beneficial if not more, than longer harder workouts. The Morning “Blues”

Have you ever woken up in the morning and thought to yourself, “Oh No, not another day, I really don’t feeling getting up”, “I wish I didn’t have to work”, “I’m so tired, I could sleep forever?”. 

We will at some time or another find ourselves in a state of boredom and disinterest. It feels as though we have no “Get up and Go” in our lives, no zest, no drive or ambition. We would rather pull the covers over our heads and go off into “Noddy land”. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by your work, or sad about the world in which we live with all its pain and suffering, or maybe you are just bored and fed-up with your daily life. Read more »

Sad or Depressed - What’s the Difference?

Are you able to distinguish between sadness and depression? I am sure that you are able to notice the difference in the two. There are great numbers of people who do not know the difference and are seeking to deal with their sadness in the way you would deal with depression.

Sadness is a natural reaction to any painful experiences whether in the past or the present and will be experienced by everyone at sometime in their lives. While it is normal for people to experience sadness from time to time in their lives, depression on the other hand can be more extreme and debilitating. It is recognized as being a clinical illness and carries with it a lot more symptoms than sadness, if not recognized and treated; it can lead to serious consequences and even death. Read more »
